Back To School, Back to School…

It’s that time again, the back to school and homework and projects time. I’m back in San Francisco, just in time for some nice warm weather, just as its cooling down back east. I’m also taking some pretty awesome classes this semester…

Witchcraft, Oracles and Magic: in which on the first day, the class stood in a circle and held hands and transfered energy through each other…our teacher has outright said we are going to do “weird” things, this should be interesting and definite something different.

Screen Printing: I am super excited for this, I’ve wanted to learn to screen print for a long time now and its a good cross over from digital media.

Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign: Another class with a teacher I’ve had several times, again a class I’m excited for because I’ve never worked with Indesign.

Frameworks of Art, Design and Technology: This class is with my department chair, and I was really skeptical if I’d stay in this class, because its six hours long on Wednesday starting at 9am and I’m just not a 9am type of girl. But I went to the first class and I’m pretty pumped for it, it should be really interesting and delve into more abstract design ideas.

Math: I don’t know what to think of this class, the teacher is a riot, he says “math is not about numbers, and all that shit, its about all that other shit, and logic is just what you use to clean up after the parade.” Uh what? I don’t know, but apparently Pythagorus was a cult leader? Yeah. This will certainly be an experience…

So the land of school, as of the first week was good, I’m pretty excited to start making stuff again. Outside of school things are more or less typical…

I got another tattoo…a lighthouse.

And I got a haircut, I’ve been wearing my bangs forward like this now, I think its cute.

The things I loved at the start of summer…

As summer begins here on the east coast, I think its high time to take another look at the things that I adore at this point in time, the last update on this being the end of March!

Sometime this summer while I am on this coast I will be going down the cape, hopefully to Provincetown, one of my favorite places ever!

Sailboats! Since I am soon to be getting a tattoo of this one!

True Blood, an HBO show about vampires set in Louisiana, a little tacky and such but so addicting, the second season just started!

One of the best things about being back east for a little while is my glorious reunion with my best friend of many years, she goes to school in Chicago now and so we don’t get to see each other unless we are both back home.

I FINALLY saw “Vicky Christina Barcelona” and fell in love, I want to go to Barcelona now! Its an awesome movie that I highly recommend.

A Changing of Seasons (A brief update on life)

The school year came to a close, I did well maintaining my GPA at 3.25 and I feel rather proud of this. I got an apartment, still in the Tenderloin, with my best friend and for certain soul mate, Michelle. The beginning of June brought me back to the east coast, and here I will be for an unknown period of time. Life is currently uneventful, time is being spent with friends and family and relaxing, as well as many late nights writing and thinking and sketching. However that is not to say that I do not have goals for my summer…I plan to read 20 books by August 1st, go back to yoga, successfully learn to drive a manual transmission car, learn to cook at least five new things, make considerable progress on the writing of my book, practice the piano, and perhaps some more things will come up as time passes.
