A second year Design & Technology major at San Francisco Art Institute. I love to think up improbable projects, bake cookies, read stories, paint, photograph, design, and travel.
Its been a while, I’ve been busy, school is busy and life is busy, and then my poor little blog disappeared for a bit but now its back, and here I am! I registered for classes next semester and let me just tell you, my schedule is awesome. I only have class Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I am taking a Jan. intensive on motion graphics, which will be hard, but it means I only have to take 4 classes the rest of spring. So I am taking humanities B, and art hist, color theory in painting and then a tutorial. So I only have three classes to go to, because the tutorial is where you just meet with your mentor three times a semester, not really a class where you have to go to a class. Its going to be fantastic since this semester I was so in over my head! I have to head to class now, so another update will be soon, but I will leave you with this little gem…Drew an I as Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain on Halloween.
As summer begins here on the east coast, I think its high time to take another look at the things that I adore at this point in time, the last update on this being the end of March!
Sometime this summer while I am on this coast I will be going down the cape, hopefully to Provincetown, one of my favorite places ever!
Sailboats! Since I am soon to be getting a tattoo of this one!
True Blood, an HBO show about vampires set in Louisiana, a little tacky and such but so addicting, the second season just started!
One of the best things about being back east for a little while is my glorious reunion with my best friend of many years, she goes to school in Chicago now and so we don’t get to see each other unless we are both back home.
I FINALLY saw “Vicky Christina Barcelona” and fell in love, I want to go to Barcelona now! Its an awesome movie that I highly recommend.
Today (because I missed my yoga class) Drew and I took a rather long walk all the way down Market St. And went into a hotel thats down there with a pretty amazing view (and really cool elevators made of glass), these pictures aren’t the best, because obviously they were taken behind glass, but if you’re ever down market by the Embarcadero then I recommend going into one of the taller buildings and checking out the view.
I’ve been neglecting this poor little blog, but its not my fault, I swear! It was my birthday, on the 10th, then I flew home to spend a few days in MA, flew back, and naturally got really horrendous sick with some sort of flu for like a week. After that I’ve been swimming under a sea of school work and projects. So its been hard to find time to blog! Here are some things that I love lately!
First and foremost…I’m going to Disneyland!!! On April 11th as a late birthday present! I am so so SO excited.
Sunshine Cleaning…I can not wait to see this!
This super zen game thingy.
This is pretty beautiful, however I don’t really like the music they use, try syncing it up with “The Young Machines” by Her Space Holiday, much better!!!
How insanely beautiful does this look? This is Holi, the festival of colors in India, you can see more images here. Or learn more about it here. I really want to travel through India someday, and this is something I definitely want to see in my lifetime!!
Greece, seriously, I know I wont come into any money, but if I did and I could travel this summer, I would want to go to Greece, it just looks so beautiful!
Text based art and posters…some great inspiration can be found here. I am getting some great ideas for some new typography and text based art!
Next Saturday is Valentines Day (also my parents anniversary!), hearts, cupcakes, pink, love is this weeks inspiration because to quote The Beatles, love is all you need
